Super Touchdown for Android

I don’t think I’m not the only one in North America that has poor experiences with sports. For me sports (specifically American Football) usually involves playing in gym class with kids that were in better shape and more into winning at the game than I was. However, video games based upon sports – such as Super Touchdown – could interest me as these emphasize strategy and properly using resources in the game. Instead of deciding whether you want to get tackled into the mud by a big kid when you are thrown the ball. Anyone that is looking for such a strategy sports game can find Super Touchdown, available on Android Tablets and smart phones.

Super Touchdown uses the touch screen to create a path for your team members to follow. Players draw a path with their fingers from one team member to another spot and the AI-driven entity will follow the path drawn out for them. Careful planning of paths mean your team members could intercept and score points, but could also be tackled if the opposing team runs into the character with the ball. Super Touchdown allows the player to control four entities on the field, where they can customize their position before the timer starts to ensure success (or quickly eat mud-pie). There are a variety of modes, challenges, and various Artificial Intelligence settings to use in the game. Combine this with Online leader boards and rewards for acquiring achievements, and you got a strategy sports game that would interest anyone that doesn’t want to be tackled to the ground from behind.

Judging by the trailer for Super Touchdown, it might have some features that would interest a person that is looking for some planning in their game. I don’t see a major different between the different modes, though there might be more replay value in this game then a real game where you wait to get picked as the last kid, again, for any sports game.

Super Touchdown can be installed to any Android device for free. Learn more about the game by visiting its Google Play Store Web page, or visiting the Super Touchdown Web site.
