Rockstar Game’s, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., most polarizing game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary starting October 29, 2012.

After the highly successful Grand Theft Auto III sent tremors through the gaming world, The even more successful Grand Theft Auto: Vice City followed one year later to shatter the gaming worlds expectations for video game. Featuring a memorable soundtrack and a stunning celebrity voice cast.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary, Rockstar Game’s will release Grand Theft Auto: Vice City onto the IOS and Android devices this fall.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game,” commented Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “It was a defining moment in the series and we’re delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets.”

A series of honorary assets will be released, both new and old, including never-before-witnessed illustrations and a new anniversary trailer putting some of the most iconic, unique scenes and music from the game in the spot light.

The legendary Grand Theft Auto was first released October 29, 2002 in the North America, for the PlayStation 2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City went beyond its predecessor lofty sucess, offering 1980’s nostalgia to create a true high point for video games in pop culture.

Rolling Stone stated, “It’s not just a new frontier for games. It’s a new frontier for humanity.” IGN concluded that Vice City is “a  truly unique gameplay experience,” and “no other action game comes close.” Game Informer wrote that Vice City “doesn’t just match the magic of GTA III, it bests it in every way possible.”

The award winning series and all it’s 1980’s greatness will be available for mobile games this fall.
