The Game Director behind The Secret World, Joel Bylos, has just found out that the whole end of the world thing is true. He thought someone just made it up for kicks and giggles, but then he found movies and books about it that confirmed that the myth is real. He’s pretty bummed out about the whole thing, and has turned to YouTube to chronicle his last days on Earth. Because, as we all know, the best people on the world to spend your final days with are most definitely YouTube commenters. You can have your gender/race/religion insulted, have someone try to sell you their shady product, and have someone tell you to kill yourself without having to leave your home. Isn’t technology wonderful?
Bylos found out that Nicolas Cage and John Cusack were in fact “prophets of our time” and made a movie about the world ending in 2012. If that is true, then I suppose humanity didn’t have much of a chance to begin with. He’s also upset we don’t get a last Christmas since the big show is over on December 21st. That is upsetting, unless you live in the United States where Christmas is celebrated from November 1st through December 25th. I’m running out of Christmas-themed attire to wear at this point, so I’m pretty much done with it. In light of the world ending, he wants to make The Secret World free to play, because, as he said, “It’s not like we’re going to need the money next month!” I hope the poor fellow doesn’t hurt himself.
