Southern Michigan has become home a rather robust boom in the independent developer market with local power house S2 Games. S2 Games has doubled their workforce over the past due in large part to successful arena based multiplayer game Heroes of Newerth. In addition to the workforce expansion at S2 Games of Kalamazoo, users of Heroes of Newerth also expanded around the same fifty percent margin during the time of release of HoN Tour, an automated arena system.

With the burgeoning market that is mobile iOS gaming this would hardly be a shocking move; however S2’s declaration that they intend bring synchronous multiplayer to a native iOS game certainly is a game changer. Until now there has not been a definitive synchronous multiplayer experience wit ha robust tournament system such as HoN Tour, the automated tournament system S2 released to PC, Mac, and Linux in 2011, a system they intend to port to iOS.
In the coming year S2 plans on expanding further with the release of HoN Tour 3.0 in an attempt to refine their existing system to afford their iGames department to have a truly powerfully engine in their hands when they do indeed break on through into iOS. In addition to providing their iOS department with truly potent tools, S2 also desires to continue their tradition of continually refining their user experiences for the existing customer base on the PC, Mac, and Linux.
