CJ Games Global, the publishers of the MMORPG Uncharted Waters Online, have today announced an expansion titled “Tierra American Chapter”. This update is aimed at adding new content to the game, including a new game-play mechanic based on colonies.
Developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES and distributed by Netmarble, Uncharted Waters Online is based on real world history and is set in the Age of Exploration. Players can take the role of a merchant, soldier or adventurer, each class having its own unique playstyle. As players explore new and exciting lands, they have the opportunity to discover thousands of artifacts. Players can associate themselves with one of 6 nations: France, England, Holland, Spain, Portugal and Venice and may conquer hundred of cities in order to increase the power of their chosen nation.
Tierra American Chapter, the latest update to Uncharted Waters Online, will add plenty of new features to the existing game. Due to its focus on colonies, the new update will add the West Indian company, while new buildings are aimed at boosting the profit, experience and skills that colonies grant the player. A range of new quests have also been added to the game, and players will also have four new pets to choose from as they embark on their journey. Oxford University has also been added to the game, giving players the opportunity to research new skills by attending lectures every Monday. The new update will also add 2v2 combat to the game, allowing players to perfect their tactics in small scale combat.
Tierra American Chapter will also make alterations to existing features in the game, with these changes aimed a increasing the game’s accessibility. Most notable of these are the changers to the company system: New players can undergo trial company memberships in order to make new friends, while larger companies have had open invitations available to them. In addition, players who are part of an existing company can now invite friends without having to use a NPC. New players will also be given immediate access to free ships, allowing players to quickly begin their exploration. Navigation has also been much improved, with players able to automatically sail between any two locations that they have discovered.
