On October 11, 2012 Ubisoft publicized a partnership with famous writer Nathan Edmondson ( Who is Jack Ellis, Gifter, and The Activity.) and artist Marc Laming to bring the Splinter Cell franchise to graphic novel pages. This collaboration will introduce readers to a new way to experience the life and story of Sam Fisher and the universe that he inhabits, from a new perspective.
Splinter Cell: Echoes graphic novel is currently set to release in 2013, and will take place between the events of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist. The story will mold together the two games, and set up the pace and tone for the opening events in Splinter Cell Blacklist.
Game director at Ubisoft Toronto had these words to say regarding the Splinter Cell graphic novel, “Nathan Edmondson and Marc Laming are respected experts in their fields and we are so incredibly fortunate to have them on board for the Splinter Cell graphic novel. Nathan’s work in The Activity put him on the radar with its gapping balance between real-world geopolitics and high-tech spy fantasy themes we also explore in Splinter Cell. We’re confident that all readers- whether they’ve player every game in the franchise- are going to really engage with this story and the level of fine detail Nathan and Marc inject into their book.
Marc Laming and Nathan Edmonson are no strangers to one another; they both worked together on the graphic novel The Activity. Marc Laming notably has worked with both DC Comics and Image Comics.
“Sam Fisher is a legend, but this our own. We are working with Ubisoft to add something special to the Splinter Cell canon that will simultaneously be exciting to fans of the series while being a thrilling standalone read,” said writer Nathan Edmondson.

Writer Opinion:
I’m a fan of graphic novel’s put not particular of the Splinter Cell games. So I won’t really be checking for this little side adventure, but fans of both should probably give it a look see.
