Frozenbyte released the Trine 2: Director’s Cut trailer, which is available exclusively for the Wii U. The title will be available on the Nintendo eShop. The Director’s Cut version of Trine 2 contains 20 levels and includes the Goblin Menace expansion and a Wii U exclusive area known as the Dwarven Caverns. More importantly, the game is very pretty. It is one of those titles that makes you wonder why most games refuse to venture outside of the beige/gray color palette. So, if you like colors, and I mean all of the colors of the rainbow, there is finally a game for you.
Trine 2: Director’s Cut will be marked down 20% for launch on the Nintendo eShop and this discount will last until the end of December. “The Christmas season is upon us, and we felt it was a nice little present to give the game a launch discount,” says Frozenbyte CEO Mr. Lauri Hyvärinen, and continued, “I’m proud of the team and the work we’ve done for Wii U. The game plays smooth and looks gorgeous, and the touch screen adds an element to the game that makes it very intuitive. We received tremendous positive feedback from North American gamers and we are happy to bring the game so soon to Europe and be part of the European launch. We believe we have created one of the best launch games for the already excellent Wii U launch lineup, and we can’t wait to hear the feedback!”
