UK Gets Telltale’s The Walking Dead Retail Version

UK Gets Telltale’s The Walking Dead Retail Version

Based on the Robert Kirkman comic book series, and winner of over 80 Game of the Year Awards, The Walking Dead has branched out into the retail market.  This is nothing new to us here in the United States, but for UK gamers it means one more method of acquiring this great game.  The U.S. retail version didn’t launch so well –given that Telltale had to don out digital-copy codes to Xbox user who bought the disc version. Hopefully Telltale learned from those mistakes and the UK retail version launches without a hitch.

Published by Telltale Games and distributed in the UK exclusively by Avanquest Software, The Walking Dead game was originally an English-only digital download when the series debuted in April 2012. This new retail release includes subtitled versions in French, Italian, German and Spanish for the first time. It compiles all 5 episodes in the critically-acclaimed first season of the game on one disc. Other than that, no word on any retail-version exclusives.

I personally did the review for all 5 episodes as they came out and was blown away at Telltale’s masterful storytelling and character development. You can check out my full review here.
