Unboxing World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Collector's Edition

By now, World of Warcraft fans should be rolling up anthropomorphic Pandas that swing sticks in the new Mists of Pandaria expansion.  The new expansion from Blizzard Entertainment might not press the hard reset button, but it does provide a ton of new content and new areas to explore.  Along with the release comes – with no surprise – a collector's edition for Mists of Pandaria.  What is surprising is the content between the Digital Deluxe Edition and retail version are nearly identical.

The retail collector's edition for Mists of Pandaria will contain the game on a DVD, along with other extra content to pack your shelf with.  You will get a behind-the-scenes DVD and Blu-ray two-disc set showing interviews and commentary; the collector's edition soundtrack CD; a 208-page hardback tome containing artwork for the game; a special edition mouse pad; and access to mounts in the game.

If you would like to see the artwork in the game but can't find a retail version of the collector's edition, you might want to consider the digital deluxe version for Mists of Pandaria.  This version will contain all the same items as the retail version, provided digitally to you.  Plus anyone that has bought the standard version can upgrade to the digital deluxe at any time from World of Warcraft's Web site.

The Mists of Pandaria expansion will let players explore the once hidden land of the Pandaren race.  A naval battle between the Horde and Alliance reveals the location, which was hidden by magic since The Sundering.  The Pandaria location will add new instances to the game, along with raising the max level cap to 90.

Two major features in Mists of Pandaria is the monk class, and the pandaren race.  The monk class can specialize as a melee damaging using energy source (charges collected by delivering damage) as a Windwalker, or use a mana pool to heal allies as a Mistweaver.  The pandaren race starts off as a neutral race to either faction, but will have to make a decision at level 10 to join the Horde or Alliance.
