Undead Legion is what would happen if you mixed a twin stick shooter with a tower defence game and added in a touch of zombies into that already odd mix. Undead Legions is developed by Key17 Games who previously developed XBLIG title Battlepaths which is currently on version 1.4.
Undead Legions takes place in a world where after years of so-called heroes killing innocent creatures for no reason what so ever, the creatures have now risen to take their revenge on all heroes. With a plot as well cartoony as that it comes as no real surprise that the game graphics use the comic style.
You will choose to fight as one of four classes, either by yourself or with up to four players in co-op. The classes are the priest, gunner, mage and rangers. Enemy types will range from regular zombies, bats, giant ogres and very undead Overlords.
Like many twin stick shooters before it Undead Legions uses a top-down camera view therefore letting you see many of the enemies on-screen but what makes this a little different from many games in the twin stick genre are that you can build things to help improve your chances like builds that will attack the undead as well.
Undead Legions is now available on XBLIG for 80 MS Points and has been confirmed for release on PC as well.
