Warface is yet another soon-to-be released Free-to-play game which seem to be coming thick and fast recently.
Developed by Crytek, makers of the legendary Far Cry and Crysis series, and co-published by Trion Worlds, Warface will be playable at the Eurogamer Expo 2012 later this month for the first time.
It will show off new cooperative and competitive multi-player gameplay, with the development team available on site throughout, helping bring light, and hopefully sign-ups to the Warface beta coming soon. If that isn't enough, of course free goodies will be available to attendees of the event! Always a good thing; free stuff in my opinion.
On Saturday the 29th September at 4.30pm, Warface producer Peter Holzapfel will be giving a special developer session on stage, talking more about the game's development and explain why Crytek has decided to go with the free-to-play type of game this time round.
The game is an FPS (First Person Shooter), and will run off Crytek’s CryENGINE® 3, with AAA title production values, yet be free. Of course like other free-to-play titles, I expect some kind of system for micro transactions within the game for upgrades for your character and such.
It will offer social gaming with Gface, Crytek's own social media platform to run alongside the game.
