Wargame Hits Mac and Releases New Trailer
Wargame: European Escalation, the immensely popular and critically acclaimed PC real-time strategy title from Eugen Systems and Focus Home Interactive, is now available on Mac. In addition, any PC user who has been enjoying Wagame: European Escalation will be able to download the Mac version for free!
Eugen Systems is a well-known specialist in the RTS genre, producing such hits as Act of War: Direct Action and R.U.S.E.. Wargame: European Escalation has been built to the same high caliber as these titles and showcases the true capability of this developer. The game features stunning graphics, intense real-time battles, online play via EugNet, and Eugen’s own groundbreaking IRISZOOM system. This unique system allows the player to see the battle as close up or as distanced as they choose, smoothly zooming from a global view all the way down to a single unit on the battlefield. This should allow for a great deal of flexibility for players to choose whichever perspective fits their play styles.
Wargame: European Escalation
Warcame: European Escalation is also unique in that it takes place during the rarely explored period of 1975-1985. Players may choose between NATO (the USA and Western Europe) and the Warsaw Pact (the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries) to act out “what if” battles from the Cold War era. While the nuclear threat was indeed very real during this period, this was a last resort as everyone knew that the use of atomic weaponry would have almost definitely resulted in all sides losing. Wargame: European Escalation focuses on the more realistic core of hypothetical conflict during this time by featuring mainly armoured offenses in Europe.
