A trailer debuted for Wars Online: Defend Your Kingdom, giving players the chance to see the combat and playstyle options available for the title. Wars Online: Defend Your Kingdom allows players to engage in classic tower defense gameplay on iOS, the Amazon App store, and the Google Play store. It has a bright and Farmville-ish look to it, which is a little disconcerting when you see these soldiers killing each other. Why are they so gosh darned cheery? Is it the constant murder of their enemies? Well, let’s hope that they’re on our side at least.
Wars Online: Defend Your Kingdom lets players choose units to fight against an oncoming horde of enemies. They can choose from soldiers, archers, bombers, and healers. No unicorns though. Those didn’t become a standard part of combat until the late 1800’s, and this game has a distinct medieval feel. Unicorn squads would provide any nation with an incredibly unfair advantage, especially since they were tireless killing machines as long as they had an endless supply love, kindness, and magic. They were also fond of sugar cubes.
Wars Online: Defend Your Kingdom gives players the option to play through an extensive single player campaign or fight online against other players. From the trailer, it looks like you can’t yell at or lob insults at the person you are fighting against. Looks like a sad day for the denizens of trolldom. Don’t worry boys, there are other games and forums where your brand of “wit” can be appreciated. A new COD sequel is right around the corner.
