WipEout 2048 for the PS Vita is about to get a lot bigger. Fans of the series may know the PS3 version got 2 expansion packs, HD and HD Fury.
Sony is expanding the PS Vita version, releasing these 2 expansions as downloads, re-imagined from the PS3 versions.
This is where it gets interesting, with Sony offering Cross-Buy support for the title.
What does this mean?
Cross-Buy support allows people who have downloaded the expansions for the PS3 to recieve them for free on the PS Vita version, and vice versa.
This is great news for people that may have the game for both systems, and want to expand both at the same time without having to pay twice!
Many games already support Cross-Buy support, including Hustle Kings, Top Darts, & Motorstorm RC for people with both systems.
The HD WipEout pack adds a new single player campaign, with a total of 12 tracks, including 8 reverse tracks, 12 ships, and the new Zone ship, and costs £6.49
The HD Fury WipEout pack which will be released soon adds again, the single player campaign, yet another 12 tracks, including 4 reverse, and 4 zone tracks.
24 new ships are also included in this pack, with a new Zone ship, offers extended Cross-Play support, and will cost £6.49.
For people wanting to get both expansions at once a deal is available, and for £9.99 you can get the Complete Game Pack for WipEout 2048.
This of course contains both HD, and HD Fury content, including single player campaigns, new ships, and tracks.
So if you own WipEout 2048 on both systems, and you are interested in the expansion packs, or you already have them, then simply download them for the other system now.
Simply go to the PlayStation Store, and to the “Download List” and you’ll find the add-on’s listed to be downloaded.
