By the time this article comes out Wordmare, the debut game from Finish game developers Sharkfish Studios will have been released into the crowded word puzzle genre on iOS but with a fresh twist to the genre.
Wordmare is a word puzzle game based around players trying to solve word association problems. Each level starts with a word and then with the help of hints and power-ups that reveal letters to help solve words which in turn unlocks the next word.
The aim of the game is to either solve that levels goal word or get 75 percent of that level’s puzzles to unlock the next level and the game promises to have tens of hours of gameplay. The games levels will have different themes and ways of doing the puzzles. One level for example has puzzles based on Japan.
Some levels along with words will have audio or picture clues as well. You can complete the larger levels at your own pace or if you feel up to the challenge you can try doing some time attack challenges.
Matti Anttonen the CEO of Sharkfish Studios has said that
“We have had such a great time designing and play testing the levels that I am sure the players will enjoy them as well. If you are looking for mind stimulating games, give Wordmare a try, I bet you’ll get hooked.”
Wordmare is now out for iPhone for $0.99 and the game will be released soon on the iPad and there’s even a release trailer for Wordmare as well.
