Namco Bandai Games and indiePub Entertainment have now announced that their new game Capsized is available on the Xbox Live Arcade. They have also said that Capsized will be available on the Playstation Store later in the summer.
Capsized is a 2D action platformer in which the player is dropped into a “hand-drawn” landscape with various bizarre aliens. In this game, your ship has crashed on an alien planet and to save your crew and yourself, you must adventure through harsh environments and fight nasty creatures that are after you.
Capsized combines control elements of first-person shooters with innovative physics-based combat and nods to classic platform games.
In the game, you get a grappling hook to use, but Capsized has some pretty awesome “particle packed” weapons as well. These include the Plas-Mortar, the Nano-Caster, the Ion Repeater and the Quasar Array. As a plus, you get to create black-holes!
The Capsized game has a campaign comprised of thirteen levels each with varied terrains as well as three arcade modes. Survive against an endless waves of enemies in an appropriately titled Survival Mode, find tanks of oxygen to stay alive in various Last Gasp Challenges or test how awesome you are at a weapons-free “armless” mode.
Capsized gives you your money’s worth with over twenty hours of intense gameplay, something a lot of big budget games can’t even deliver. Namco Bandai’s Capsized is available for download on the Xbox Live Arcade now and should be on the Sony Playstation Store later this summer.
Storm is available for the Xbox Live Arcade as well and will also be on the Playstation Store this summer.
Vessel will also be on the Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
