Here at Einfo Games we caught up with Iceberg Interactive to talk a little bit about their upcoming game steam game Gas Guzzlers Extreme. Just to give a little background on Gas Guzzlers Extreme it is a high octane racing game. It’s a game in which you start off with a low performance vehicle and eventually work your way up earning money through a series of uniquely challenging races. It features a single player campaign with over 12 hours of gameplay, 200+ miles of road across 8 tracks, 8 arenas, and 7 different environments. Basically, there’s a lot to do, a lot of fun and a lot of carnage on the road. Without further ado here is our interview with Iceberg Interactive.
Einfo Games: We are here to talk about Gas Guzzlers Extreme, can you tell us a bit about the title?
Iceberg Interactive: Yeah of course, Gas Guzzlers Extreme was actually signed a couple of months back by us and it’s created by game developer Gamepires. It’s a small team around eight people that are creating the game at this point and we are actually planning to launch it on Steam at the beginning of October – so in the coming weeks – for a price of twenty pounds. It’s an action packed racing game; we are just focused mainly on multiplayer, but it also has a single player just so you can get the feel before you actually play online with your friends, or enemies, whatever you want to do.
Einfo Games: What features are there going to be?
Iceberg Interactive: Well the thing is they are (Gamepires) really focusing on multiplayer. It’s got eight different multiplayer modes, it’s got your normal race; get to the finish line first. It’s also got a knockout race, capture the flag, shootout, it’s got everything. So, whatever you like in a racing game Gas Guzzlers got it.
Einfo Games: Is it going to be available on any other platforms? Or is mainly focusing on PC?
Iceberg Interactive: At this point it’s only focusing on PC and Linux. It might go to Mac as well and if the game goes well we might consider going to different platforms like Xbox and PlayStation. Most people like race games; it’s such a big genre, that a lot of players actually play; so why not bring it to Linux?
