New exotic clubs and customers await you in the 2.0 update for 99Games' Nightclub Mayhem.
Do you want to run a nightclub? Hiring various DJs that specialize in different tracks? Figuring out which rave light to show off for the night? Telling your bouncers who to throw out of the club? Sounds like fun, right? Now do you have a $500+ iPad? Well you might be out of luck in that case, but now 99Games' Nightclub Mayhem, a time-management game that lets you run your own nightclub, is coming to Apple's Macintosh computers.
Nightclub Mayhem won't be just a straight port as there will be some new updates. New nightclubs like the "Dragon Den" in Hong Kong or "Neon Dream" in Los Angeles are available. New customers are available like the fussy starlet or a weirdo that wishes to electrocute the DJ. New mini-games are available as well, such as helping the Paparazzi get some celebrity shots. There is even an added cooperative mode to the iPad version so two friends can manage the crazy nights.
There is a downside to this update for Nightclub Mayhem that might upset some people. So far the update seems to be free for anyone that has purchased the iPad version. But if you don't have the iPad version, it will cost you $1.99 USD to run your own virtual nightclub. Not bad, and it should be reasonable to get the game on your Mac for some money – but how much is the issue. Customers will have to pay $4.99 USD to get the Mac version, with the updates included for free.
I'm not one to judge time-management games in terms of quality. Based upon a few screenshots Nightclub Mayhem looks to have this cartoon-like aesthetic found in Zynga games. Plus with the update it sounds like there are a variety of content to keep fans of time-management games interested. However the radical differences in price from the iPad to Mac might not be justifiable for fans looking to manage a rave party with their time.
Nightclub Mayhem is available on for the iPad from the App Store and Mac App Store for Macintosh.
