Maximum Games have released a new arcade-style flight sim. Air conflicts Pacific Carriers is a PlayStation® 3 exclusive that will take you back to the 1940’s, the game focuses on historically inspired missions that took place during World War II that will take you back to famous battles such as Midway, Pearl Harbor and Wake Island.
Acording to Maximum Games, Pacific Carriers includes a “compelling Storyline”. In the game the player can take control of Lucas Stark (Admiral in the US Navy in charge of the USS Enterprise) or Hideaki Hashimoto and take charge of the carrier known as Zuikaku, representing the Imperial Japanese Navy in a fight till the death.
Air Conflicts Features dynamic ship models, true-to-life weaponry, and complex landscapes which will allow players to travel through the billowing clouds engaging in several arcade-inspired missions such as Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, Sink the Carrier, Watchtower, and Patrol. In Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers you will be able to choose which side you want to fight for: The U.S Navy or the Imperial Japanese Navy. The game will also grant you access to a great assortment of war machinery that includes 3 aircraft carriers, 22 battleships, and 13 airplanes.
“Innovative multiplayer options take players through epic campaigns that truly put you right in the center of unbelievable war simulation,” said Len Ciciretto, president of MG. “The action is fierce, and the gameplay incredibly diverse.”
In terms of gameplay, each campaign features a total of 5 battles that consist of bombing raids, dogfights, torpedo runs, and exciting aerial missions which will add up to hours of gameplay.
