May the flock be with you! Angry Birds Star Wars is coming to consoles this October, and yes these are the birds you’re looking for.
Angry Birds Star Wars was brought to the world by Rovio Entertainment and together with Activision Blizzard Inc. and Lucasflim, the game is expected to come out October 29th for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii and 3DS.
“Downloaded more than 100 million times since its release last year, Angry Birds Star Wars melds together two of the biggest names in pop-culture entertainment for an out of this galaxy gaming experience,” remarked Jami Laes, Executive Vice President of Games at Rovio Entertainment. “Angry Birds and Star Wars™ are franchises with millions of fans around the world and we’re excited to partner with Activision to bring the marriage of these beloved properties to gamers everywhere this holiday season.”
The game will add 20 brand new levels that were not included in the mobile versions. Angry Birds Star Wars will also include famous characters from the Star Wars franchise in bird or pig form. Gamers will also be able to play with friends in another new aspect to the Angry Birds series, multiplayer. Team up with friends in two-player co-op mode to get a combine high score or play against them to see who can score the most points.
Angry Birds Star Wars also holds many achievements and trophies that are unlcoked when completing starges or doing certain actions. Score the most points and jump to the top of the online leaderboards.
The expected date for Angry Birds Star Wars to hit shelves is October 29th.
