In Batman Arkham Origins Multiplayer you can don the cape and cowl of Gotham’s heroes like Batman or Robin or you can try to take them down as a elite super-villain. it already sounds exiting but to turn it up a notch, as a villain, you can turn the tide of a match by calling in some of Batman’s most notorious enemies such as Bane or even the Joker himself.
The multiplayer component will be available for all copies of the game purchased on the Playstation 3, the Xbox 360 and Windows PC. This however does mean that the online component will not be included in the Wii U edition of this title.
Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to the two previous games and is set years before Gotham becomes infested by criminals and supervillans to tell the story of how Batman became the protector of Gotham by rewinding back to the beginning of his career. In this game, you must guide a young, inexperienced and unrefined Batman as he fights crime, saves lives, builds key relationships as he grows into the role of the Dark Knight.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be purchasable on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC. Meanwhile, the handheld version of the game developed by armature: Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate will be purchasable on the Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS systems. Both games will be available on their respective platforms worldwide on October 25th 2013.
Writers opinion: The addition of third person shooter elements particularly intrigues me as it could mean either a slight change to the HUD and gameplay to better optimise it for online play or it could be a third person shooter with a Batman skin thrown on. Either way, this is a title that I would recommend keeping an eye on.
