BSGO Hosts Summer Games Decathlon for Humans and Cylons Across the Universe in the Festival of Kobol.
One of the worldwide leaders of online video games, Bigpoint announced that it is preparing for the upcoming Battlestar Galactica Online Festival of Kobol. For those of you who are not aware what this is, it involves 17 days of tournaments and other events commencing on the 27th July and finishing on the 12th August. Players that attend will be able to be part of a variety of competitions, including a Decathlon of ten tournaments consisting of four different tournament types. The top 20 will be awarded prizes for their efforts.
The first of the Decathlon tournaments will begin on July 27 from 3 o’clock in the afternoon to 11 o’clock in the local time of each server. On the days in between each tournament Battlestar Galactica Online will also hold a Golden Rock Splitter event where players can mine from gold and silver asteroids containing uncommon resources guarded by ancient drones. The four tournament types we can expect to see are:
- Decimation – Player with the most PvP victories wins.
- Annihilation – Players that inflict the most damage against the opposing faction wins.
- Crucible – Players who gain the most experience points win.
- Rock Buster – Players with the most mined resources win.
Throughout the Festival of Kobol, Battlestar Galactica Online will also be offering a sale on specially designed, limited-edition golden ship skins for Human and Cylon fleets.
The Winners
On the closing of the Festival of Kobol the top twenty players will receive their winnings in the form of bundles of prices. These include tuning kits, aumminition rounds, warheads and more. The top 3 will receive Cubit shopping spree rewards.
