Those of you who have already pre-ordered Gearbox’s highly anticipated Borderlands 2 have even more loot for your release day bag.
For those vault hunters who happen to preorder at Gamestop will be in for horde mode treat with the Creature Slaughter Arena. The endless enemy mode sees inspirations take from the original Borderland’s Mad Moxxi Underdome that saw players taking on hours of different and deadly enemies in an enclosed multi-themed arena.
This time things get more enticing with the additional of winnable loot at the end of every round that you are able to survive in. Need a new Hyperion plasma shotgun? No worries, as all the loot is presumably going to drop in the range of your own character’s level.
Not only do early orders of Borderlands 2 guarantee you the blood soaked mosh pit but those acquiring the game exclusively from Gamestop will also get the legendary Moxxi rocket launcher for those large enemies.
Borderlands 2 is set after the events of the first game which saw Pandora’s first group of vault hunters unlock the secrets to the alluding “Vault”. Now that the secret has been unveiled, a revolution has set in place as an all new group of hunters have come to the dusty planet to reap the spoils and take down the slightly over-confident trillionaire ‘Handsome Jack’ and his corrupt Hyperion Corporation.
The new game is set to bring old fans and new comers a large variety of new content, including a bazillion more guns, 5 new characters with 5 new skill trees and a world bursting with new environments and enemies. Not only is the game bringing in a ton of new useable content but Gearbox promises to deliver a more engaging story this time around through the included roles of their previous cast of characters and of course the return of the almighty CL4P Trap!
Borderlands 2 is set to release on 18th September 2012.
