Boulder Dash XL Coming To iOS

HeroCraft in association with First Star Software Inc have announced that Boulder Dash XL, the latest game in the legendary Boulder Dash series is making its’ way to iPads, iPhone and iPod touch. The last game in the long-running series was released on XBLA in July 2011.

The iOS version of the game will retain similar gameplay to previous games, where players will collect treasures through more than 100 levels in game whilst avoiding traps and enemies. Boulder Dash XL is described as being an exciting and challenging actions puzzle dexterity game. The series made its debut in the 1980’s and has continued to build its fan base. Boulder Dash has appeared on many consoles in previous years including the Atari, Commodore 64, the NES and PC. In the game, players will collect sparkling diamonds while besting hordes of enemies and traps.

Pavel Prokonich, CEO of HeroCraft spoke about Boulder Dash XL commenting that:

 “We at HeroCraft remember spending hours in front of our screens trying to escape those falling boulders and having a great time of it! We hope iOS users will enjoy digging into this amazingly fun gameplay just as millions of players before them have for close to 30 years!”

Boulder Dash XL features five game modes and more than one 100 caves. Gamers can choose to play as two character Rockford or Crystal in four different beautiful and different worlds. The game also includes telescopic arms for remote manipulation of objects; teleporters and a number of new enemies.

Boulder Dash Boulder Dash-XL is already available on Xbox Live, 3DS and PC. The game will be released on the App Store soon.
