Bohemia Interactive, the creators of the ARMA: Armed Assault tactical shooter have put out a new demo for their latest title Carrier Command: Gaea Mission on the Xbox 360. To top if all off how about a permanent price drop to $39.99? Yeah sounds pretty good.
The demo has two exclusive assaults on the islands of Thermopylae and Granite. Starting out on the amphibious Walrus, players must complete tasks such as securing command posts. After doing such task the player switches to an FPS for a few minutes to complete another task of capturing a flying machine called the Mantas. Doing that shifts the player to their carrier, the main battleship, and from there one gets to order units via the map, fly Mantas, or drive Walruses. All in all a fun 45 minute demo.
The game itself is based on an old 1988 classic titled, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission, and this updated title offers players awesome vehicle combat and a huge open world to try new tactics and strategies to smite their enemies. Fight for control of 33 unique islands with six climate zones by using the carrier to control Mantas, Walruses, and even the ship itself.
This demo is available now on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360. I played a few minutes of it and I will say that it is a pretty fantastic demo and game. I strongly urge any fans of strategy games to check it out.
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is currently available at stores nationwide as well as Steam. It’ll run a smooth $39.99 for Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB.
