Coming June 28, Doodle Jump is hopping aboard the console platform. That’s right, Lima Sky and D3Publisher have confirmed that Doodle Jump is coming to Xbox Live on June 28, 2013! Now before you start worrying that Doodle Jump will not be able to hold up against some of the more in-depth games on Xbox Arcade, here is the kicker – Doodle Jump is coming out for the Kinect. Now, you can take your gaming to the next level as you jump from platform to platform, blasting away baddies as you go in this classic vertical ascent adventure game in the all new motion controlled Kinect version.

In an effort to take the popular and simple concept of the original game and re-innovate it Smoking Gun Interactive, in collaboration with Lima Sky, is trying out the game on Kinect. This new version of Doodle Jump takes the addictive action of the original game and gives it a fresh, new concept with the addition of the Kinect. The controls are simple and easy to pick up. If you want to make the Doodler move to the right, then simply move your body to the right. Here is where it gets crazy; if you want to go left… wait for it… then move your body to the left! Shoot down monsters with balls from your nose with arm gestures, fly with a flap of your arms and more.
Doodle Jump for Kinect also brings never before seen additions to the game. Fighting bosses, exploring three new worlds, and using power-ups are just some of the new features in the upcoming game. Will these new additions make Doodle Jump for Kinect even more fun and addicting, or will it just be another game lost in the crowd? Only time will tell.
Doodle Jump for Kinect will be available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points on June 28, 2013. It requires Kinect to play.
