European Games Award Winners Announced

The winners of the European Games Award, the largest public choice award, have been announced. Over 230,000 votes were submitted, breaking their previous record of online votes. Out of 400 video and computer games, the jury selected only 100 of the best titles out there. However, it was the gamers out there who got the final say of who won in each of the 22 categories.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was among one of the biggest winners of the European Games Award, securing awards for “Best European Character Design”, “Best European Game Design”, and “Best European Game”. Battlefield 3 was also among the top winners, receiving awards such as “Best European Sound”. “Best European Publisher” went out to Wargaming.net, whose MMO World of Warplanes received “Europe’s Most Wanted Online Game”.
