HMV Oxford Street will host the F1 2013 Pit-Stop Challenge on its October 4th release date
This Friday 4th October sees the release of F1 2013, billed as the definitive Formula 1 video game of this console generation, and players in London will get the chance to suit up and jump into the action at the HMV Oxford Street Store.
The pit-stop challenge will give players the chance to compete against their friends on some of Formula 1’s most iconic tracks, and players will be able to test some of the exclusive F1 2013: Classic Edition features, including some Formula 1 greats like Michael Schumacher and Nigel Mansell. The team have also promised prizes and rewards for the fastest challengers throughout the day. There’s even a brand new Playstation 3 available to won for the number one competitor. There’s also prizes for tweeting pictures of the event using the hashtag, #HMVlaunch and #F12013.
The store will also host an actual Formula 1 car, and visitors will get the chance to try their hand at changing an actual race tyre right in the middle of HMV, just as if you were part of a pit team.
F1 2013, released on the same day as this event, features all of the official content from the 2013 Formula 1 season, including the FIA World Championship, the return of the Grand Prix mode and a new scenario mode. Players getting the Classic Edition of the game will get a whole host of extra features, including 80s and 90s cars, track and drivers, offering the chance to play classic races in modern cars, or to hit some of the current circuits with the classic cars from decades ago.
F12013 is released this Friday for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
