With Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn nearing its release time of sometime during summer the third closed beta testing will start in June and this will be the first closed beta testing for this game that will include PS3 owners who will be playing with PC owners due to the games cross-platform abilities.

For the PS3 version of the game if you still have the Square Enix Members code that came with Final Fantasy 13, all you do is enter it at the end of the survey. Then you will be given priority during the section process of the upcoming beta test. So you did keep the code handy right? Beta testers will be the first to explore the brand new content including the two new city states Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa.
Along with the beta testers Square Enix has also confirmed that after the game launches they will be adding things from Final Fantasy’s 25 year history.
Besides the Magitek Armour from FF6 they have also confirmed at future patches will include Gilgamesh as well as the Golden Tower from FF7 and fights against summons like series regular Ifirt. Oh and you’ll be able to get a Chocobo and yes you’ll be able to dress it up.
