GAME, BT Wi-Fi Partnership Lend Customers New Experience

United Kingdom’s largest videogame retailer, Game, today publicized that their partnership with BT Wi-Fi will give gamers access to free Wi-Fi; creating a new environment for gamers to find out about new titles, and for them to interact across their 341 stores. A new, free smartphone application will also be launched to improve custom experience.

GAME are hoping this decision will allow wider access to their gaming content online and want customers to undergo the change through a fully multi-channel, multi-platform experience.

The after mention free smartphone app will downloadable via a QR code; allowing games to immediately have access to product reviews, videos, news, and special, all while in-store. Gamers now have the quality of depth they will  to need ake better purchases of games.

“The introduction of in-store Wi-Fi signals a new level of customer experience and a major step towards achieving our vision of the delivering excellence for the United Kingdom gaming community,” said CEO of GAME Retail, Martyn Gibbs. Gibbs went on to say “Just as in the music and home movie market, online revolutionized the way we discover and access new video games. As a company we are constantly evolving, listening to our customers and adapting our approach to deliver for them.”

Andy Barker, CEO of  BT Wi-Fi, stated: “According to Ofcom 39 per cent of adults now have a smartphone and they’re a crucial part of people’s shopping habits, especially for gamers. We are delighted to add GAME’s stores to the four million UK hotspots where our broadband customers already enjoy unlimited BT Wi-Fi for free. In store Wi-Fi will give gamers access to all the information they need to buy there and then.”

Vendees will now have the ability to inquire products online before and during visits to make a purchase. GAME partnership with one of the biggest Wi-Fi networks will give gamers a new way to shop.
