Gears of War Judgment to OverRun 2013

Get your chainsaw lancers revving as we once again step into the world of Sera once again in Gears of War: Judgment.

The new upcoming prequel will see you experience the events of the original Emergence Day that was constantly hinted at during the blood soaked original trilogy in the series.
Gamers this time will have the chance to take on the role of the wise cracking Baird as he and Augustus Cole take the fight to the newly arisen Locust horde, as they attempt to wipe out humanity in the most terrifying tale in the Gears of War series yet.

Developed exclusively for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 next March, Bulletstorm Developers in a collaboration with Epic Games hope to bring the war that started it all to life with an all new cast, weapons and deadly enemies as the critically acclaimed series turns up the heat a newly developed class-based multiplayer experience exclusively for the upcoming title known as OverRun.

OverRun sees players take on a range of unique classes as they shoot, cut and curb stomp their way through all new maps like the officially announced “Rooftops” map and the all new “Island” map that was brought into the spot light today for all fans of the trilogy to witness.
Island will take place on the coastline of the sieged Halvo Bay which ultimately serves as a resupply and fuelling station for the then powerful military power that is the “Gears”. Players will be able to take part in an overwhelming battle for survival through a stream of connected islands with a selection of bridges and underground tunnels which will allow for a variety of gameplay opportunities.

Famed Gears of War authors Tom Bissel and Rob Auten are brought in to write the epic retelling of Kilo Squads battle to rescue Halvo Bay from the invading Locust army. As mentioned you will this time take on the role of Baird and Cole Train as they defying the orders of their superiors and take the moral high ground in an attempt to save the city from destruction.

It is currently unknown if series regular Marcus Fenix will return in this instalment but I think it is certain that he and best friend Dominic Santiago will make some kind of appearance.
The Gears of War series is seen as one of the biggest franchises in the Xbox family having sold more than 18 million games worldwide and even forming its own collection of action figures, comic books, novels and even a clothing line.

You can look forward to seeing Gears of War: Judgment hit shelves on 13th March 2013 with a host of collectors and limited editions to boot.
