On September 14th, the fourth installment of the Forward Unto Dawn series, Joyride, was premiered by 343 Industries with a preview from the episode.
The Forward Unto Dawn series is an upcoming live-action series based on the Halo universe. “Joyride” explores the recruits of the UNSC at the Corbulo Academy of Military Science. The recruits train as UNSC soldiers with UNSC vehicles and equipment. One recruit is especially interested in the facility’s modified warthog. Who knows what might happen? The series explores the beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would become leader in the UNSC Infinity in Halo 4. With the help of Hollywood talent from all types of fields, Forward Unto Dawn brings you the most immersive and unique story ever seen in the Halo universe.
The five episode series is to be released on October 5th, 2012 on Machinima Prime and on Halo Waypoint with episodes airing every Friday. The limited edition of Halo 4 will also include the episodes of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn with extra footage as well as behind the scenes content.
Halo 4 is now available to preorder at multiple locations like GameStop, Bestbuy, and Amazon.com in the standard edition, limited collector’s edition, and the Xbox 360 limited edition Halo 4 console bundle.
