The new Assassin’s Creed III trailer was released today under the title ‘Independence Trailer’. A quick history lesson for you; The name stems from the content of the game which revolves around the American War of Independence.
The trailer shows off some exciting new features that will be introduced in Assassin’s Creed III, including naval warfare and epic battles that take place. This makes a nice change from the usual inner city settings of previous Assassin’s Creed games. Perhaps though one could question how these factors will fit in to the general Assassin’s Creed style of play, as it is a bold step forward, however it looks set to provide an interesting alternative to what we expect in the series.
Though there are some big changes coming to the game, the familiar story of Assassins versus Templars will be included. However this time you may be pursuing your enemies through battles, in open fields or small towns.
The areas shown in the Independence Trailer look to be an exciting change of pace, and with the new abilities introduced to this game it will surely be a big hit amongst Assassin’s Creed fans both old and new come its release date at the end of 2012.
