Some of the most significant upgrades in the game, which are available on all consoles with motion control, are World Dance Floor, as well as On Stage Mode. World Dance Floor is the first online multiplayer mode to feature on Just Dance. Players become part of a virtual dance crew which can be either their friends and acquaintances, or other fans of Just Dance from anywhere in the world. Their competition can be based on a variety of different themes.

As well as this, the game allows players to track their status on global leaderboards, browse statistics about their fellow players in other parts of the world, and look at community updates. On Stage Mode allows a player to take over the spotlight and dance the leading role in a song and lead two back-up dancers. If they want more of a challenge, they have the option to sing along as they dance.

The Nintendo Wii U system’s Puppet Master Mode has been updated to the new Party Master Mode, presenting the player in control of the Wii U GamePad with further options to MC the party. Players can customise their gaming experience by choosing the next dance move, picking out new tracks, and they can even present a maximum of four other players with cray challenges.
