Play and level up as Superman, Batman, and other Justice League heroes in this brawler action RPG.
Sometimes a game with simple mechanics and memorable characters is all that is required for players. No "emotionally charged" story or dialogue puzzles are required in games like these. Just a bunch of dudes that need to be greeted with your fist, and then return the greeting in the form of XP or money. Slap in familiar super heroes from DC universe into the core mechanics of the game and you got Netmarble's Justice League: Earth's Final Defense, now on Android and iOS.
The story for Justice League: EFD is pretty bland, but serviceable. Lex Luthor is up to some crazy shenanigans again, and five members of the Justice League have to beat the crap out of him and several villains in the DC universe. It's a pretty weak story to justify why you can play as Superman to punch Joker in the face – but you do get to play as Superman punching Joker in the face, so it works.
Along the way you can level up your favorite super heroes to make them beat up more people. Upgrading Superman's heat vision will deliver greater damage, or Wonder Woman's golden Lasso of Truth to, uh, do better Shibari positions? Beyond that thought, players can also unlock uniforms to dress up their super heroes in. Two new uniforms are added in the Android version: The Red Son for Superman, and Beyond suit for Batman.
There are only five playable super heroes in Justice League: EFD, with two that need to be unlocked. At the start Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are available, then later you can unlock Green Lantern and Flash. Other DC Universe super heroes are available in 30 "support cards" that can be leveled up as well.
Justice League: Earth's Final Defense is available now on Google Play and iOS for $0.99 USD.
