
The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” tour is coming to London. Following the success of ‘The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony’ held in London in 2011, the producers of the show have announced the ‘The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” tour is set to hit the Hammersmith Appollo on May 23rd.
The concert will be performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. The tour will allow gamers to enjoy the music from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise.
Jason Michael Paul, who is producing the concert tour spoke about the event stating:
“The response in 2011 for “The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony” was unparalleled, so it’s exciting to return with a brand new experience for both loyal and new fans.”… “This concert program is an extraordinary glimpse into the spellbinding world of Zelda through the lens of world-class orchestral music. We are honored to bring this unique experience to this great city.”
The concerts title “Symphony of the Goddesses” refers not only to the concert program but also to the four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
The performance also will highlight orchestral renditions of music from other games in the series, including The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
The orchestra will be conducted by Eímear Noone with arrangements by music director Chad Seiter. The event will be hosted by the concerts producer and lead creative Jeron Moore.
In the ‘The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses’ concert; gamers and music enthusiasts alike will experience the most famous moments from the series, carefully and beautifully timed with an orchestral score approved by Nintendo sound director and Zelda franchise composer, Koji Kondo.
The concert has been described as a festive experience for all. The concerts organisers have stated that cosplay is encouraged, so gamers can get ready to don green tunics and wield the master sword!
