Nintendo have announced that Mario Golf is set for release on the 3DS this week. Nintendo have also announced a number of other downloads this week, including Robot Rescue 2, which is available on DSiWare and the 3DS eShop. Crazy Kangaroo and ‘Nurikabe by Nikol’ are both set for release solely on the 3DS eShop. This week’s solo WiiWare title is the virtual console Neo Geo title ‘The Last Blade 2’.
Mario Golf is the 1999 Gameboy Color in which gamers take on the role of Mario as he joins the race to become the Grand Champion. Four Golf Champions stand in the players’ way; gamers must defeat them all to reach the most famous golfers in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario Golf includes four courses, 12 practice ranges, five play modes and a variety of mini-games for gamers to enjoy.
Mario Golf is available on the 3DS eShop for $4.99.
In Robot Rescue 2 gamers will have to navigate a squad of co-dependent robots through an evil computer labyrinth. During certain points of the game players will have to repaint their robots by stepping on different tiles to change their colors. Robot Rescue 2 inlcudes 60 levels of increasing diffiuculty. The puzzle game will allow players to tackle mines, circuits, teleports and clone machines.
Robot Rescue is available on the 3DS eShop for $1.99 or on DSiWare for 200 points.
Crazy Kangaroo features Barney, a cute kangaroo who is caught by evil poachers but fell out of an aeroplane. In the game players must help Barney find his way home. The top down platformer features a combination of Motion sensor and Circle Pad controls.
Crazy Kangaroo will be available to download on the 3DS eShop for $3.99.
Nurikabe by Nikoli is a puzzle game in which players must tackle Sudoku puzzles created by Nikoli who created the world famous puzzle. Nurikabe by Nikoli contains 50 Nurikabe puzzles. The game includes two different gameplay modes, stage clear and random mode.
Nurikable by Nikoli is available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $4.99.
The Last Blade 2 is a 1998 Neo Geo title. The sequel to fighting game. ‘The Last Blade’ allows players to battle at the gates of hells to its climax. The game features 16 unique swordsmen characters for players to choose from. The game takes place during the ‘Bakumatsu’ era in Japan, and incorporates a number of elements of Japanese mythology. In ‘The Last Blade 2’, gamers must choose from a number of sword types and use their fighting skills to win their battles.
The Last Blade 2 is available on Nintendo’s WiiWare for 900 points.
Nintendo have also announced that a demo of LEGO Lord of the Rings is available now in the 3DS eShop. In the demo, gamers will be able to embark on a heroic quest to destroy the One Ring and relive the events of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Nintendo have also announced a number of new Nintendo videos on the 3DS this week. These include ‘Meat or Die: Helena’ and the ‘Spirit Hunters Inc. videos.
