Medal of Honor Warfighter Multiplayer Trailer

Medal of Honor Warfighter Multiplayer Trailer

News coming in loud and fast as EA and developer Danger Close releases the new Medal of Honor: Warfighter trailer for your own eyes to behold.

This will see the Medal of Honor franchise give birth to its 14th instalment in the series lifespan. The game will also be a direct sequel to 2010 reboot known as just Medal of Honour.

From first glance you may first come to the conclusion that this could be just another Battlefield multiplayer experience, but news from across the pond revealed that Danger Close is this time taking the reins from Dice in the multiplayer portion of the game. This is probably due to the fact that the original Medal of Honour’s multiplayer was in some ways an empty shell experiment of DICE’s own Battlefield 3 multiplayer.

The trailer shows a promising future to the previously mediocre original that lacked the adrenaline fuelled action from previous titles in the series like Airborne and Allied Assault. Included in this new game are portable heavy weapons and UGV’s (Unmanned ground vehicles). There also seems to be the added ability for players to rope in from some form of transport chopper. It is unknown for now if players will be able to control vehicles of any kind, but the feature does look promising.

Surprisingly enough this new trailer could be compared to the recent announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 which also features unmanned vehicles, such as UAVs. Could this be a trend that will continue in all modern shooters to come?

The title was officially announced on February 23, 2012, and it is set to be released in North America on October 23, 2012, and in the United Kingdom on October 26, 2012.
