On October 31st Konami Games announced the release of the Limited Edition of one of gamings most anticipated Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The Limited Edition will be available to concur with the February 21st releases date and includes lay out of the pre-order incentives.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year, but the demand for the game is already at an all-time high,, Co-created by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames; series favorite Raiden returns to control of the player wit his “High Frequnecy” blade.
The game takes place four years after the actions of Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriot, where fans were introduced to a newly cybernetic enhanced Raiden. The improved Raiden has reunited with his family, and happily satisfied with his role as security agent for Maverick Security Consulting.
However; Raiden is called into back to the front lines of war after the assassination takes place, committed by an group of augmented cyborg assailants.
Raiden mission is to stop the private military company by the name of Desperado Enforcement before it’s too late. In Metal Gear Rise players will witness graphical finesse and fine story telling mixed with stunning game play witnessed in previous titles.
With Raiden center stage is this next Metal Gear title, Konami’s European Limited Edition comes along with a ca. 30cm figurine of Raiden. The White Armour Raiden will only be available by this limited release. The Special Edition will only be available through Zavvi in the United Kingdom.
Konami also took the pleasure in publicizing two pre-order incentives, offering an options of steelbook covers and special downloadable content.
The first offer features a Raiden illustration by Metal Gear Rising concept artist Yoji Shinkawa. The DLC will unlock the Inferno Armour, increasing Raiden’s throw weapons capacity. This offer is only available through GAME chain of stores when pre-ordered.
The second steelbook is available through purchase of independent stores and will give players Raiden’s Commando Armour, which allows access to a larger number of projectile weapons.
