I’m not entirely sure why Minecraft is getting a Disc version; maybe a few of you out there are gun shy about using the Xbox Live Marketplace? The fact remains, Minecraft is getting a Disc version. No mention of anything exclusive -other than a free 48 hour Xbox Live trial. So again it begs the question, why?
According to the press release UK gamers can relish in the “Disc-based” version of Minecraft on June 28th, 2013.
“This disc version will provide the magic and experience already loved by millions worldwide and give newcomers the thrill to explore, build, and conquer alone, or play with friends via split-screen mode or over Xbox Live. Including a wealth of new features designed specifically for Xbox 360, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is a whole new way to make imagination a blocktastic reality.”
I’m all for Minecraft, though I prefer the PC version. I just do not believe sales are going to explode because the same game goes from digital to physical. Maybe I’m wrong, and let’s be honest EVERYONE should have access to the awesomeness that is MInecraft. Just sauing…
