Napoleon: Total War Gold Edition is a sophisticated combination of real-time battle tactics and turn-based political strategy that immerses players in a meticulous re-creation of the Napoleonic Wars that wracked Europe in the early 19th century. Players are given the choice to either command Napoleon’s army and attempt to surpass the achievements of Napoleon himself, or lead one of the Four Great Powers: Great Britain, Austria, Prussia, and Russia allied against him.
