A brand new trailer for the latest Army of Two game was released recently and the trailer itself is called the Overkill trailer but sadly the trailer doesn’t show anymore about the games unique Overkill mechanic. Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel will be availible on Xbox 360 and PS3 on the 23th of March.
In The Devils Cartel players will be playing as Alpha and Bravo instead of the series regulars Salem and Rios as they fight against the “La Guadana” cartel on the streets of Mexico. The game sadly reminds me of Call of Juarez: The Cartel to be honest.
The trailer itself tells us nothing new about the games plot and all its shows are explosions and having the two characters looking badass which considering the game itself means it does do a alright job. It does reveal that the game will have a female support character that hasn’t been named yet and my guess is that the guy who looks like Wood from Call of Duty at the start of the trailer will be one of the games main antagonist purely based on the fact that he doesn’t get touched during the entire time his shown which is impressive considering how big he is. The trailer honestly looks like something Michael Bay would use for one of his movies. By the way someone needs to tell the games developers Visceral Games that grenades don’t explode until the safety pin is pulled out.
While the trailer doesn’t tell us anything really new about the game, it does whoever reveal what players will get if they pre-order The Devil’s Cartel. Players who pre-order will be the Overkill Edition of course. The Overkill Edition comes with a mode called Overkills Contracts and three kits/uniforms with weapons. The kits are the Day of the Dead kit which comes with a unique assault rifle, Overkill which has a shotgun (why does everything in this game involve the word Overkill anyway) and the TAH-9 which has a specialised pistol.
Well that’s Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel and so far with all the information being released so far unless you have people to play the game with you, I’d suggest that you should wait for the price to drop. It looks like it could be a fun game in the same sort of way that the Expendable movies where fun.
