Xerneas and Yveltal Make Their Debut in Pokemon X and PokemonY

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Kalos MapNEW DETAILS WERE REVEALED by The Pokémon Company International about legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal’s debut in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. But that’s not all, many never before seen Pokémon will be introduced in the Kalos region; along with new characters and game play features.

PROFESSOR AUGUSTINE SYCAMORE sends you and your friends on a Pokédex filling adventure throughout the Kalos region where players will encounter the strange yet fashionable Team Flare organization. Grant and Clemont are two new Gym leaders whom join the Santalune City Gym Leader, Viola. Grant excels in sports while Clemont is a young gym leader who loves science and his sister Bonnie.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y XerneasTHE LEGENDARY XERNEAS, a fairy-type Pokémon, is introduced in Pokemon X. Fairy-type is a new category of Pokémon being introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Xerneas will have an exclusive new move called Geomancy which causes rainbow lights to burst from the earth and deals damage to all foes near it. His special ability, Fairy Aura, occurs naturally while in battle—strengthening Fairy-type moves for all Pokémon in battle including your opponents.

 

gaming-pokemon-legendary-yveltal_1LEGENDARY YVELTAL  is a dark flying Pokémon and the only one who can learn the new move Oblivion Wing. When executed, Yveltal flies high into the sky to release a red beam of light that scorches any enemies below. Yveltal also has its own unique destruction ability called Dark Aura. During battle, Dark Aura raises the strength of Dark-type moves for all Pokémon in battle, proven incredibly effective in Double and Triple battles.

from spunky Pancham. He develops a violent temperament but believes in fairness and has a soft spot for the weak. Pangoro carries a magic leaf that can predict opponent’s moves and uses the slow yet powerful Hammer Arm ability to pummel his opponents.

INKAY, A DARK PSYCHIC Pokémon, has the ability to drain opponents will to fight, giving him the opportunity to attack or hide. Inkay can learn Topsy Turvy, which reverses all stat changes affecting a target. So if an opponent increases their attack and defense stats, it will decrease when Topsy Turvy is used. Inkay evolves to become Malamar which has the strongest hypnotic force of any known Pokémon. His psychic move Hypnosis will leave enemies asleep and unable to take any actions during battle.

FAIRY POKEMON SWIRLIX can only be captured in Pokémon X and comes with the new ability Sweet Veil which keeps Pokémon on the same team from being left asleep in battle. Swirlix can learn the fairy move Draining Kiss, which not only damages a target but restores HP to the user.

FAIRY POKEMON SPRITZEE is available only in Pokémon Y. Spritzee emits a unique smell which causes anyone who sniffs it to fall under its spell. Spritzee can also learn the grass-type ability Aromatherapy which causes Pokémon to emanate a relaxing fragrance that heals its ally’s conditions like sleep and poison.

O-POWERS IS A NEW game feature that allows players to power up Pokémon in their party. O-powers come in various forms that can be shared between players via the new Player Search System or PSS. Some O-Powers temporarily increase stats, make it easier to catch wild Pokémon or increase experience points gained in battle. Wonder Trade allows Pokémon trade between players, catch is players’ trade without knowing which Pokémon they will get in return.
