INDIEGAMESTAND HAS ANNOUNCED TITLES OF 12 GAMES THEY WILL BE PROMOTING DURING PAX EAST 2013 SET TO TAKE PLACE IN BOSTON 22 – 24 MARCH
IndieGameStand — website broadcasting independent developers — will be promoting games on the budget during this year’s Penny Arcade Expo East. Anyone who enters the IndieGameStand’s booth will not leave empty-handed. Participants, besides being able to speak directly with the developers and play number of games, will be given for free one of the 12 titles representing a variety of genres. The games have been carefully selected to guarantee top quality. If you are attending PAX East 2013 and would like to see what IndieGamesStand has in store booth 797 is where you should be heading.
As explained by Mike Gnade, co-founder of the website, the idea behind the undertaking is to support smaller developers creating absorbing projects, who might find it difficult to afford a place on such a convention. Even though PAX is one of the most inexpensive conferences there are, promoting games is still a costly enterprise especially for studios consisting of a few persons. „Personally, I am really proud that we can represent indie developers that have great games but who can’t justify the expense of attending PAX themselves.” — says Gnade.
IndieGameStand’s booth will feature following games:
- Gimbal — a multiplayer shooter where players can customize their vehicles
- Cognition — episodic adventure game with rich story and splendid visuals
- Gnomoria — village management game where player helps gnomes build their kingdom
- Recruits — squad-based, tactical shooter inspired by Cannon Fodder and Jagged Allience
- Space Pirates and Zombies — space strategy with RPG elements and focus on combat
