Persona 4 Arena was revealed today as one of the best selling fighting games of all time in Japan, according to Atlus Inc, the creators of the game. Atlus also spoke of a fair amount of day-one downloadable content which can be bought at a regular price, or unlocked manually via difficult in-game achievements.
The DLC in question can range from different accessories for each character, to extra quick-tips and in-game commentary that is announced as you play. The additional content does not affect gameplay in any means whatsoever, and is assured to us players as “purely cosmetic.” Which implies that the DLC is merely a way for dedicated fans to change up their characters appearance and add an extra level of overall customization to the full game, without affecting vital gameplay mechanics and techniques.
Reports of online lag from the Xbox 360 side of things have reached the developer, and they went on to announce there is a patch in the works, and they hope to release it as soon as they possibly can, so every gamer has the best possible experience.
