Demo available on Nintendo eShop.
Ubisoft have announced that the Wii U exclusive Rayman Legends will be published in Japan by Nintendo. The game will be released in the UK on March 1st and in Japan ‘sometime’ in spring 2013. A demo for Rayman legends is also available now on the Nintendo eShop for European gamers who want to try the game.
Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA vice-president sales and marketing at Ubisoft said:
“We are delighted to have our promising Rayman Legends published by Nintendo in Japan.”… “Rayman’s innovative take on the platforming genre has already seduced millions of gamers across the globe with last year’s Rayman Origins. We are very glad that its successor will benefit from Nintendo’s unrivaled experience of the Japanese market.”
Rayman Legends is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Rayman Origins. The game takes full advantage of the new Wii U GamePad controller to explore fresh multiplayer gameplay experiences, and expand beyond the traditional platformer genre. Gamers will be able to use the Wii U GamePad to discover new ways to navigate through the game with touch–based gameplay to defeat enemies and clear paths. Rayman Legends also uses gyroscope technology to manipulate and rotate platforms in the game. The Wii U GamePad also allows players to continue Raymans adventures with his friends on the controller screen even while the television is off.
Rayman Legends also retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a number of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and an all new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers have also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements. The game has an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman’s previous graphics to the next level.
Rayman Legends will be released in Europe in March 2013.
