The publisher ChangYou.com is pleased to announce that after months of beta testing, Renaissance Heroes is available across North America and Europe. Matthew Lenehan, Producer at ChangYou.com is “grateful to [the testers] that have helped [Renaissance Heroes] come this far,” and is positive that the “contributions to feedback and testing have put a level of polish on [the] title that is sure to make it stand out.”
In order to celebrate the official release of Renaissance Heroes, an update has launched that adds new content to the game. First and foremost is the inclusion of Sika, a new character who uses a combination of crossbow marksmanship and alchemy in order to defeat her enemies.
The launch update will also add two new levels to the game; Graveyard features an open battlefield that leads to scroll platforms, which are themselves surrounded by blind spots and flanking routes. Aqueduct, the other map, gives players long sight lines and avenues that allow them to quickly take the fight to the enemy. Aqueduct will be the home of Dominion, a game-mode new to the patch wherein players must battle for a central control point and hold it for 5 minutes.
In addition, the update will give players the ability to spectate others using a range of cameras such as map view, third person and and free cam and will also allow them to record gameplay without using third party software.
Renaissance Heroes is set in the titular period of history, featuring maps, weapons and characters that are suited to the time. Gamers choose from one of 7 unique characters (Including Sika) and battle with up to 12 other players using melee combat, ranged weapons, jump pads, powerups and the special abilities of their character.
Renaissance Heroes is available on GameFuse, which is also a good place to go to find out additional info on the game. Alternatively, check out the official Facebook page for upcoming events.
