Skylanders Giants Invade London Zoo

Celebrating the launch of Skylanders Giants the latest installment for the number one bestselling game of the year, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, a few of the new characters took a trip to the ZSL London Zoo for a special visit and even invited some celebrity fans to join in on the celebration.

Parents Donna Air and Jasmine Guinness brought their children to the zoo to meet the Skylanders and get exclusive first access to the game. Also Richard Jones from The Feeling brought along his son, Sonny, a Skylanders enthusiast to join in on the fun. Visitors throughout the day were able to play the game, participate in a Skylanders Giants inspired Treasure Hunt and use a green screen where children were photographed with the Skylanders themselves.

As the day progressed visitors to the event were greeted by Tree Rex one of the newest members of the Skylanders family who was on show at the Zoo for one day only. Tree Rex did take a small break however to visit a fellow giant, making friendly conversation with Dirk the Zoo’s resident male Galapagos Tortoise.

Bringing back all of the beloved and well-known elements of the original game, Skylanders Giants will also include several exciting and innovative new additions to the game. Bringing together the physical toys with the virtual game play, Skylanders Giants offers a gaming experience unlike any other on the market. With all new characters, levels, challenges the game promises one gigantic adventure. Players can expect 20 brand new figures and a slew of gameplay and technological improvements that create even more occasions for cooperative and competitive play. The sequel to the best-selling video game of the year 2012 launches this October.
