2013 is celebrating more than just the blue bombers 25th anniversary because it is time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult hit Spelunker and what better way to celebrate it than to introduce it to a new generation of gamers as Spelunker has arrived on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop!
Spelunker challenges you to help Spelunker quell his thirst for adventure by journeying through hostile caves in other to find the legendary underground pyramid and rid it for all its treasure.
Along with having to deal with the spirits of people, you have to get through bats and steam vents, you also have to deal with the simple fact that Spelunker is the single weakest adventure in history with the sort of pain threshold that will cause you to die from barely falling of a lift near where it exits.
Something that may surprise you about Spelunker is that it got so popular in Japan that it ended up with toys, comics and even inspiring musical tributes. It also got the Retro Award for Excellence in 2007 at the Tokyo Game Show.
Spelunker has arrived on the Wii U and 3DS eShop and it costs $4.99.
