Sure the world may be ending in 13 days but that doesn’t mean you don’t have time for a little shopping first
Continuing with their theme of show-off costumes Square Enix has just released the latest trailer for their upcoming title Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the Shop and Customization trailer.
So for the first time in a numbered single player entry in the famed Final Fantasy game players can now customise how the main character looks. Throughout the game you’ll encounter stores selling various different armours, weapons and outfits allowing you to customise your very own look of her.

As in earlier entries in the series different towns will supply different items as well as different manufacture like forges who many sell weapons and armour. As for costumes there are over 80 costumes available as well as little accessories to help you complete the look. Along with simply giving Lightning a new look, these outfits has stats tied to them so there not completely style over substance.
Along with buying new gear which can all be seen will walking around the world, during combat as well as cutscenes you’re even allowed to customise the colour of Lightning’s clothing.
The new Shop and Customization trailer can be viewed here but I have to ask why is Square Enix focusing so many of their trailers on costumes? Okay I get that these are DLC items and they’re trying to push the fact that you can now customize Lightning but I can’t be the only person who’s interested in this game due to the time mechanic in play.
